Once there was a farmer, who bought a baby apple tree. He lovingly put it in the ground watered it and fed it with good things and the tree settled down and was growing nicely. But then one night there was a mighty storm, the little tree survived as it had firmly established its roots, but on one of the branches there was a split and almost came off. In the morning the farmer came out to survey the damage hoping his new tree had survived, and great joy filled his heart when he saw that it had but he was saddened to see it so damaged

Now the farmer had to choices he could either cut it down or burn it, or he could lovingly care for it and make it better and make it strong. The farmer was a kind and patient man so he got some sealing tape and bound the split up and then he got a stake and put it in the ground next to it and tied the tree to the stake for stability. Now the tree had been planted from a good strong seed so the farmer was happy to know that it would mend and grow strong again.

Over the next week the farmer continued to care for it until the split grew out and started to grow again and over the next 5 years the tree grew in strength as the gentle breeze swayed its branches and made the bark strong and a gentle rain fell and nourished the tree and grew big and strong

At harvest time the farmer came out to pick the fruit of his labour and the tree had produced some truly stunning fruit, the farmer’s young son was with him, and he gave his son an apple. The apple was good to eat and the boy was very happy.

“Daddy can we plant one of the apple seeds and see if it will grow”

“Yes of course my son” and that very day they planted the seed. And as the boy grew so did he tree and finally after many years that tiny seed grew into another apple tree and bore much fruit for the son who take over the farm from his father and so life goes on

The parable explained

The farmer is our heavenly father

Ephesians 1:3-6 (NKJV)

3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

4  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

5  having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

6  to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

and we are the apple tree, when we give our lives to the Lord we are small and new, and the father tends are cares for us, by sending us people who will help establish us in the Christian faith and who will encourage us to put new shoots out for continued growth

Colossians 2:5-7 (NKJV)

5 for though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

. But then life deals us a mighty blow in the form of a storm and we are battered and beaten and broken. After the storm has passed and we have survived it, God comes and surveys the damage it has done to us. We have a choice as we go through the storm and come out the other side.

Matthew 7:24-27 (NKJV)

24  "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

25  and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26  But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:

27  and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

The heavenly father sent Jesus to die for our wounds we can either cling to Jesus and let him heal them or we can walk away from him and give up.

Isaiah 53:1-5 (NKJV)

1 who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.

3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4 Surely He has borne our grief’s and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

In each one of us is the power of Jesus and his strength is always with us, but we need to be able to tap into that strength.

Psalm 1:1-3 (NKJV)

1  Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.

3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

So God our father sends a gentle breeze and refreshing rain in the form of the Holy Spirit and the word of God.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NKJV)

7  "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD.

8  For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

If we read the bible, pray and listen to the Holy Spirit we will grow strong, and as we do we will bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-25 (NKJV)

22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23  gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

24  And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

As we bear fruit and grow in our relationships with others, God sends us out to sow the seed in others and preach the good news to those we love or who God leads us to and then they too will be established, grow strong and bear fruit and then the father will send them out to sow the seed all over again and so the word spreads

Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)

18  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Amen I got a lot of learning and pleasure out of writing this hope you do to

Jesus is a friend who cares

Jesus is a friend who shares

He has an ever open ear

He gives us his love

He gives us his peace

Give him your worries

And accept his awesome love

He offers his love so freely to you

There are no strings attached

He’ll love and hold all the way

And your slightest fear he will take

And send it to the deepest sea

And when come through the night

And praise god you see the light

Love him and serve him with all your might

Jesus will mend you

Jesus will mend your broken heart

Jesus will heal every broken part

Jesus went to Calvary

So he could take the pain away

The pain you feel as you lay to sleep

Jesus wants you his peace to keep

He wants to take the pain away

He wants to take away the pain

He wants to make you whole again

And so eternal life to gain

So come and give your life to him

And let him take away your sin

Be still my fearful heart

Be still my crazed mind

Find your peace

In the Lord and Saviour

Find peace in the King of Kings

Be still my troubled breast

Be still my troubled mind

For God has given you

His love everlasting

And that love casts out all fears

Im tired, oh so tired

Well come unto me my child

Rest for a while

You are held in my arms

And there you know

You have nothing to fear

So rest my child Rest in me

Give up fighting And rest in me

I will guide you I will lead you

On the path I set before you

Great is your name

In all the earth

The heavens rejoice

And sing your praise

The angels are rejoicing

And we one earth are joining

To celebrate the King of kings

To celebrate the Lord of Lords

Rejoice and lift his name

Above every other name

IN the coming King

We can rejoice
